Learning Outcome #4: Work Collaboratively with Others

CAS

Raising and Taking Down the Flags

What: Every week me and a partner respectfully and formally raise and take down the California and American flag. We raise it every morning and take it down after school. On windy days it is extremely difficult to accomplish this on my own so i have to had to learn to work with my partner.

Why: No one would ever sign up to bring down the flag so I decided to help my school out and partnered up with a fellow student named Jesus to complete those duties.

How: Each morning me and Jesus take down the flag and fold it in the triangle method because it is the formal way of folding a flag. We also raise the flag at the beginning of school in order to comply with the schools regulations.

Value: By working with Jesus, i colloaborated with him so well we became very good friends. Also it felt good providing a simple service that relieves teachers to do things that take up more time.

What I Learned: I learned that working well with someone can lead to helping other and building relationship at the same time.
